Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa, the son of Maye Musk, a model and dietitian from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Errol Musk, a South African electromechanical engineer, pilot, and sailor.
He attend Queen's University after two years he transferred to University of Pennsylvania where he received bachelor's degree in physics & bachelor's degree in economics.He began a Ph.D. in applied physics and material sciences at Stanford University but dropped out after two days.
His first wife is a Canadian author Justine Wilson (2000 - 2008).He began dating English actress Talulah Riley, and married (2010 - 2012, 2013 - 2014). Musk and Canadian musician Grimes revealed that they had begun dating (2018 - 2020).
